Basic Instinct is a program that educates women how to protect themselves from violent crime, and how to navigate potentially dangerous situations. Teaching women to recognize prospective dangers, strategies to prevent situations from escalating into full-on attacks, the assailants’ thinking, and effective hands-on techniques if the situation becomes physical, Basic Instinct is working to be the cornerstone program of every campus across Southern California.
We need more than political lip-service or media hype; we need positive action that can save lives. Ultimately, women need to be independently responsible for themselves and their own safety, and they need the tools to protect themselves properly. Basic Instinct has the tools and the training to help women feel confident if confronted with a potential attack.
